That struck me as odd, too! But I've never made haggis, so I didn't know if that was normal or not.

Nope. It would make some bland, excessively crummy haggis. It must be one of those recipe cards of ethnic cuisines adapted for American housewives circa 1950-70. Those tended to enjoy sucking all the flavour out of any recipe printed on them for the sake of being "easy to make".

See, that's what I thought!

Haggis is kind of an odd choice for something "easy," though. All that futzing with gristle and windpipes...
