I can't help but think of one of my own writing problems and think that maybe some fan writers have similar issues.

My problem? I am terrible at time limits.

I can't help wonder how many fanfic writers would find having to write X amount of words in a certain time really makes them uneasy and causes problems for their creative streak. Of course, that only applies to someone who can actually sell their writing, which many here have already said is incredibly difficult!

Plus I'm in fandom for characters I already know, not ones I have to make up myself. My own characters are fun, but if I had to try write a coherent story for them, with a time limit on when I had to finish it... I'd throw my hands up and and yell" Fuck this shit!" because having to do that would make it stop being fun.

So TL;DR, writing pro, with it's time limits and hard work (if you even get a deal) would make the fun of fanfic TOTALLY NOT FUN. STFU OP.
