I've always really liked the original HM64 Cliff. All his iterations are cool, but that's my favorite. :)

That's the one where the game ends if you get married right? I haven't played that one but Ir really want to! I love the oldschool graphics, and from what I've seen of it on youtube it's surprisingly different to mfomt like, story wise? so I really want to see it.
I like Cliff too :) haha, I like all the fomt bachelors really, Kai is just my favorite

It "ends" after year three, but you can play indefinitely.

And I think it's different from pretty much every other Harvest Moon game, but in a good way. It's very charming and organic, and I think the characters were more interesting in HM64 than any of their later incarnations. You should play it! It's fun! :D

huh, must not be the game I'm thinking of. Interesting, I'll definitely need to check it out if I can! :O

You might be thinking of Save the Homeland. But you couldn't even get married in that one.

I think there were a couple different games that did something similar, though. But HM64 isn't one of them, so yay!

Nothing to add except that HM64 was my first and my favorite.

Magical Melody comes close, in terms of my enjoyment, though I still haven't gotten to an ending (I played as a girl and married the cutie doctor and got pregnant and then...stopped). AWL kinda sucks, although I wrote fanfic for it. I haven't bought a new one ever since the North American release of DS Cute (I believe) took out the 'lesbian marriages'/best friend ceremony, that just...made me feel bitter :\

I usually marry Ann in 64 because her relationship with Cliff seems unhealthy to say the least but all the girls are so cute.
