Yeah, people pretty much expect Sherlock Holmes to be a jerk now. Which leads them saying things like, "I like BBC Sherlock better, Elementary's Sherlock just doesn't seem like Sherlock Holmes to me," clearly revealing the fact that they never read the original stories.
