The comments do nothing. Is OP feeling guilty because they've received stuff due to living through a natural disaster? And why is OP paying to receive goods from charity?

It's a fandom charity event. People offer lots of fanworks or other items (letters and random giftboxes are popular), and other people bid on them. The winning bid donates that amount to relief for that disaster, provides proof of having done so to the giver, and the giver sends them stuff.
