+1000 for the realistic McShep fic. It totally takes me out of the scene when Rodney's described as too perfect physically.

Ikr? I swear I read one once that described Rodney's stomach/torso as 'muscled'. His weight fluctuated throughout the series, but even at his thinnest it wasn't just 'muscle' there, and that's not a bad thing. I just don't get how people can obsessively ship a pairing but then retcon what the characters/actors actually look like in their fic. Like, what.
