Washington and Oregon are siblings that hang out together all the time and are frequently mistaken for each other by people who don't know them well. :P

New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts used to be BFFs but there was a split years ago and now Maine and New Hampshire don't talk much and both hate Massachusetts.

I'm from NH and I always characterized Vermont and New Hampshire as soulmates because they complete each other (together they form a kind of rectangle). lmao I feel weird admitting this.

Oregon is a hippie/granola girl with a secret redneck streak. She actually really likes rodeos, even though she'll claim she doesn't. Oregon likes to be outdoors, but never remembers an umbrella. Oregon tends to either wear hiking boots or sandals (Birkenstock and Chacos are both acceptable). Oregon's hair goes between brown and tie-dye. Oregon tends to wear green/yellow or orange/black because those are the only two colleges people tend to know/care about even though those aren't the only ones around.

The Civil War game messes with Oregon's head quite a bit.

'Cept Washington's a bit cooler of the two, 'cuz it has legal weed and gay marriage. Oregon's kinda like the younger sibling, tagging along and trying to play catch-up.

They both dress like hipsters, though and go on and on about their local, specially produced organic foods & beers (overpriced).
