It does. Personally I like to judge a book on multiple levels. Is this technically good? What are some of the messages coming across? Did the author mean to put them in there or is it a result of historical context and unexamined biases? And of course there's the sheer enjoyment factor.

Which all sounds much more involved and drier than it really is but you get the idea.
