So it's a semantics issue?

Is "I don't like it on anybody" ok?
Is "I think the hair is gross" ok?

Most of what you quoted is talking about the hair, not the person. It's not "hairy people are gross," it's "hair is gross to me."

That's what I was thinking too. All those examples are saying IT is gross, not the people
