Unless you're anticipating a famine in the near future, or that particular food is required to make your diet nutritionally complete, eating when you're not hungry is also wasting food. It's just wasting it in your body, where it can also be detrimental to your health, instead of in the trash.

...I'm not even sure what your point is. In the scene I'm referring to, the family sat down to breakfast then drama happened. We see the pancakes going into the trash, meaning no one ate, not even the two little girls. And it had nothing to do with not being hungry.
