Well, my house has screens that move, so that you can slide the screen to whichever side of the window is open (top or bottom) or pop it out and rotate the entire window in its frame for cleaning. But yeah, we have pretty fancy fucking windows and I can't think of any other home I've ever lived in that didn't have regular stationary window screens that you'd have to kick out if you wanted to climb through the window.

For me it's not 'little' since so many plots revolve around scenarios like this, but... Characters living well outside of their supposed means. Like, characters who would likely have no insurance/shitty insurance casually swinging into the hospital because they've got the flu. Or characters who own a house/apartment that would be ludicrously expensive for someone with their job. Or slacker drop-out characters from lower/middle class families going to college with no mention of how they got in/how they're affording it.

I *wish* we had the kind of screens that slide up into the frame. That would be cool.

I agree - they rarely get the houses/apartments to match the money people make.
