When two characters are having a conversation about something secret or important, and they're doing it at a normal tone of voice in a public place, like in a bar or on the bus or something.

I always imagine bystanders going "What was that about demonic summoning? What did you just say about my mother?!"

WHY DON'T THEY EVER WHISPER, DAMMIT.

YES. Or withing a couple feet of someone they're trying to hide something from. Really - really?
