I'm not. About either thing. It's cheaper up here, and now it's cheaper in Toronto. There's a whole "Save BC Film!" movement.

The buildings look very different and the "subway" is more of a train or trolley.

Tall, glassy buildings all look the same to me. :P LA's subway looks a lot more like NY's than ours, to me, too.

Though my favorite thing is when they film onsite in LA, they use the little block right in front of the library's back door, between the Canadian consulate and a parking lot. Over, and over, and over, from six different angles as they "run through the streets".

LA's buildings are shorter on average and different colors than New York. Also, how we make our buildings have a different style. Ours are newer, in general, and have to be earthquake-proof. I'm sorry. I'm anal about this.

Haha, it's ok, hon. My knowledge of architecture mostly sums up to "good buildings stand up, bad ones leak or fall."
