You do know that East Asians aren't actually yellow, right? They have a wide variety of skin tones, but with the sole exception of Northern Europeans and British Islanders, their skin color can be about the same as that of Europeans.

Can be, but usually isn't. And given that light skinned is regarded as more beautiful in many Asian countries, and in some skin lightening formulas are included in so much of the make-up sold that it's hard to find ones that don't bleach your skin, I have to say that I can't disapprove of people wanting more dark-skinned Asians to be portrayed in media.
