Wat anon-above-me said. Learn more about cholesterols. I'm no medical person, but I had cholesterol problems before, and learning the basics helped me focus my efforts more effectively. And watch salt intake. Drink more water, which well make you feel more energetic and better all around, as well.

Also, if you're on any medications, check if they cause BP problems or 'metabolic syndrome', which raising blood sugar and cholesterol. There might be alternatives.

30's still young. My aunt is almost fifty, and she cut her cholesterol by a third in one year by getting more exercise and dropping some weight. Don't freak out!

Oddly enough, I have really good cholesterol. Not on amy meds either.
