This actually really pisses me off

The pairing is Erwin Smith/Levi from Attack on Titan, which really doesn't matter as much as the fact that, canonically, they are 6'2" and 5'3" respectively. People regularly mistake art of them for characters who are only a few inches apart in height (Tony Stark and Steve Rogers is actually a big one) because people are so desperate to get that uber!uke height rule in there. There are very few pairings that would actually have the Erwin/Levi height difference without skewing it dramatically, so when people assume these pictures are some other pairing, it pretty much tells me they have some shitty slash fiction ideals, which I hate.

...I actually have a lot of feelings about the seme/uke thing, as it turns out.

I could not agree with you more. I hate that 'bottom guy must be so much shorter/smaller than the top guy- even if that's not how it is in canon' rule that pervades fandom.
Yeah, the fact that people confuse Levi/Erwin fanart - a pairing where the height and weight difference is quite significant- with these other pairings just shows how pervasive it is.
Fucking seme/uke rule is so pervasive in slash

Gets funnier when actually, there's quite a surprising amount of fanart depicting Levi as topping Erwin and the latter enjoying it.

*cough cough* You wouldn't happen to have some links at hand, would you?

This is the latest pic I got on my dash. (http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=38690505) I don't tag, so I can't easily find all the stuff from my archive, but I come across top!Levi art frequently.

Thanks for the link :) I wish I'd see more of this on my dash. It's mostly Erwin topping Levi :/

Seconding the request for links!

All I seem to find has weepy-uke!Levi which isn't my cup of tea at all. :( Bottom, okay, weepy uke, not okay.
