I don't recognize the bottom ship, but my guess is that a): Hannibal's actor looks hotter, and therefore his actions are excused more often, or b): Hannibal's actor is better at acting, so he makes fans think there might actually be some depth to the character.

The GoT actors are all pretty good. Not sure why you'd assume Mikkelsen is better.

Because Hannibal is one of the characters who makes FS cream its collective pants over how good the actor playing him is, no matter who that actor is at the time, unless someone argues that the actor playing him now is worse than the actor who played him previously. (Sherlock Holmes is another such character. I think the Doctor might be one, too.)

Well, he isn't perpetually infested with filth and face-fungus, or whatever that scruff is supposed to be.

I don't know if you're in the Hannibal fandom, but most of the fans certainly don't excuse Hannibal's behavior at all. Hannibal is a terrible, manipulative, emotionally abusive, murderer. There really isn't a positive way to spin that.

Well Hannibal is one of the lead characters in a show named after him. The Game of Thrones guy has been in it for about ten minutes. So Hannibal inevitably has more depth.
