I liked s6 Buffy. Buffy was depressed because she had experienced true happiness and rest, something that hadn't happened as a slayer. She loved her friends and Dawn, but she had been ripped away from a place where she hadn't been forced to be the slayer. She was trying to figure out how to live again and find the strength to keep fighting.

I'm sure she did find comfort that there was an afterlife, but that doesn't negate all the stress Buffy, as a young woman, was put through once again.
