(Anonymous) 2013-12-01 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)I don't know, I think this is a YMMV issue because I personally thought we were shown signs even back in S5 that she was slowly being beaten down by her problems, all leading up to her sacrifice. It might not have been especially obvious due to the perils of their situation, but it was there. And S6 didn't have the greatest writing to put it mildly, but I think we were supposed to read deeper than the surface reason of, "I was in Heaven," and see what was really eating at her.
