Re: embarrassing things you told people and immediately regretted telling

In high school when I told a girl I was kind of friends with (I never had any real friends there I was comfortable with) that I watched Pokemon. It was embarrassing because: a) it was that time when almost everyone considered Pokemon for little kids only, and was also the overhyped annoying fad of the moment that no little kids ever shut up about, b) I told her because I thought she had asked me if I watched "any TV," and it turned out she'd actually asked if I watched "MTV."

It seems so small a thing, and she didn't make fun of me, but all I could think about the rest of that week was wanting to die of embarrassment.
