I much preferred Dallas as Fandral, too. I love Levi, but his accent was off to me and I couldn't get into it. When he was on screen all I could see was Chuck cosplaying. (I usually don't have a problem separating actors from their roles, and I've def seen him in other things, but it happened. Maybe the cast change was the reason.)

I had this problem with Tangled, since we heard his voice for so long before he ever showed up onscreen.

I can see why tbh; I heard Chuck at first too. Eventually I was able to shake it off, but if you weren't I can see how that might ruin the film.

Frankly, it made the film better. I was bored out of my mind by the actual plot, so I entertained myself by imagining that any second Casey might show up, punch everyone, and carry Flynn out of the movie on his shoulder while demanding to know how the hell Bartowski got himself into this one.

LOL. I enjoyed Tangled but not as much as many folks seemed to; that would've made for a more entertaining story to me as well. (Man, do I miss Chuck. And Casey was the light of my life.)

I've never seen Chuck so I didn't have the actor association problem, but Levi looks a bit odd as a blonde(it doesn't quite look right?) and I do give him points for trying with the accent but... sorry Levi, it was pretty off.

I DO like the picture OP used of Levi, but in some of the promo pictures his hair is awful. That's not enough reason to dislike him for me, but coupled with the accent (like you said, I think he tried, so I feel bad mentioning it but...) and the Chuck thing it added up to me just not enjoying the character as much as I should have.
