Re: I hate how clique-y it is

I know that, objectively, you probably know this, but you gotta train yourself to remember it until it's ingrained:

- They did not just magically have talent.
- They practiced every day until they got to that point.
- Start practicing now and keep going every day, someday you will look back on your old stuff and be able to see how much you've improved, and there will be people who look up to your stuff.
- Real friends don't talk to you because of the quality of your stuff, they talk to you because you are fun to talk with. If you can't write fic or draw very well right now, you can give them prompts (if they want them) and discuss ideas with them.
- If they are just assholes for no reason they are not even worth it, keeping making your stuff, you'll find better friends.
- Just because the fandom has its own cliques doesn't mean it always has to be that way, there is no law for what you can and can't do in a fandom, even if you don't befriend these people, keep making stuff. If someone new comes to your fandom they're not gonna be immediately aware of the cliques but they will notice it eventually and wouldn't it be nice if they saw that there were some people who were a little bit different and open to newcomers?
