Good for you, OP. For my part, it seems that anybody I follow is going to have a 70% chance of spewing out/reblogging some stupid unresearched, uneducated post about how [insert group] is so oppressed and whatnot. I've met loads of great people there, but I've also met a lot of horrible people. I'm kind of impressed you've never met them tbh.

Then why do you follow them? Just curious.

I mean it's usually something I find out after I follow them. If they tag it and I can blacklist it, it's fine. If they don't, I don't follow them anymore.

I can get that. I tend to follow artist blogs. Sometimes, they reblog a lot of stupid posts. It's a constant battle of whether or not I like their art enough to deal with their bs.

I don't even bother with the follow, but that's mostly because I don't tend to check past the second page of my dash at a time for all the updates for all the people.

I'll bookmark them and their art tag if they have one though. Good art is awesome, I just don't wanna scroll through boring opinion posts.

Yup, agreed with you.

What was it, last week? Over the weekend? Someone had posted in that anti-SJW thread in the general comments, that post that was "That's it, Feminism, I'm Done" post. Over all, I agreed with the post, but I do think she was too quick to dismiss the thing outside of internet slacktivism/feminism.

I reblogged it and someone I follow who hates Bronies more than I do got snarky iwth me and asked "if I reblogged it ironically?"

I told her no and that I agree with the sentiment....about internet feminism/slactivism.

Immediately after, she accused me of "drinking the MRA koolaid" and called me a misogynist.

Riiiiight. Ugh.

Whether she believes it or not, she's one of those crazy, always-offended-at-everything type people and I'd been debating o whether to unfollow her for a while. But that whole post and blow up made up mind.

Ahhhh it's so refreshing not to see her crap everywhere on my dash anymore~
