Joan can do better than Mycroft.

My problem was that Sherlock went on this whole rant about if Joan slept with his brother it would be because she secretly wanted to bone him. I was side-eyeing Sherlock pretty hard there.

As long as Joan doesn't marry Mycroft or hook up with Sherlock, I'm okay that they spent the night together.

The oddest thing is: He said all that in the season premiere, when it seemed like they didn't sleep together, but then when she actually reveals she HAD slept with Mycroft, this doesn't come up at all. It honestly feels like they completely changed their minds about important aspects of that subplot between episode 1 and episode 7.

That was odd. It really does seem like the writers either forgot about it or decided to discontinue where that plot was leading.

Sherlock's whole speech could come up later if J/M happens again or he could make a reference to it in the future if J/M have more scenes. Or the writers could take a page from the Glee writers and never reference it again.
