Haha really because I have had like the opposite experience. Everyone I know on tumblr gets their panties in a righteous wad over issues that they have little to no intention to directly engage about irl, other than to whine about and feel put upon and systematically abused.

I really have no idea how I attract these people. Even people I love to death are all up in arms about inequality issues, when the only inequality they've ever faced was the ratio of milk to soy in their Starbucks. :/

I'm all for people being passionate about issues. I like people to be informed and care about shit. But when people just post shit without a.) double checking facts, or b.) intending to really do ANYTHING about it irl, then I start getting frustrated with them.

Mostly it's the clueless tweens/teenagers/early twenties that I've seen moping around. Older folks who are actually around in the world whom I know almost never post about this kind of stuff.
