Treasure Planet deserved more attention and money than it got at the box office. If Disney releases more of its older films in 3D, like they did with Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, I'd want to see that one. That or Fantasia.

YES. Treasure Planet is one of the best things Disney has ever done, and I always forget about it in threads like this because I can't wrap my head around the fact that it's underrated.

I don't actually understand why Treasure Planet was so unpopular. It's still a favorite of mine. :/

for me, Treasure Planet was really beautiful in the theater, but it adhered so closely to the original that I was kinda sitting in the theater going "Why did I pay so much to see a story that Muppet Treasure Island already did BETTAH". but that's just me, lol
