Secret 6 - Tumblr, fandom, social justice warriors

From a lot of things I've read about Tumblr on here (Fandom Secrets) it seems to be some kind of hellhole, the devil spit, Satan's lair, even. Mostly because apparently everyone has had several run ins with Social Justice Warriors. And I'm just wondering, how did you manage that? I've been on Tumblr for almost two years now, and I've never seen any sort of Social Justice wank on my dashboard, or gotten messages from Social Justice Warriors.

The corner of Tumblr I'm hiding in is all fandom, and I love it. All the people I interact with are very nice, open-minded and accepting. I don't understand where Tumblr is getting this incredibly bad reputation from, to be honest, but it makes me sad because it's the only place I've ever been able to make fandom friends.
