Combine that with the "they can't be in a same sex relationship unless they specifically state they are gay/bi" and I guess no one gets to have gay sex ever.

Well, it really isn't anyone's business what another person's sexuality happens to be, even in the fictional realm. But we demand it (in fiction) because otherwise shipping vs canon vs shipping canon vs crack is just so damned important.

Personally I really don't understand why m/f leads have to become something ~more~. Friends can be just friends regardless of gender and proclivities. But then, I'm just tired of romance being shoved into a story where it's not really needed.

But if I see two cute/hot/interesting females, I do wonder why they aren't fucking.
