This was the first movie I saw Jennifer Lawrence in and I loved her as Mystique. I totally bought her performance as someone who was different but wanted to be like everyone else and eventually accepting who she was. I especially remember being in the movie theater and thinking "thank God, they cast someone who is not "hollywood skinny" and still dressed her like they thought she was hot. Which she was.

DA You're missing the point. She is a fucking beanpole but that's not Hollywood skinny. Hollywood skinny IS anorexic, nothing borderline about it.

I never understood the whole "Hollywood actresses look anorexic" thing. They never do to me. They're thin, yes, but not unhealthy so? I'd say runway models are the ones that look incredibly unhealthy to me.

Kind of depends on the actress and whether you're looking at, say, red carpet shots or promo material.

I tend to think "Hollywood skinny" refers to promo material/shit that's been photoshopped to all hell and back.
