Aw man. Like, the one fandom I read a lot of fic for and your parameters count out most of my recs.

Sorry, I didn't think I was being too picky. Orz

not fingals, but same here... most of what I read for HP was romance, and a lot of it is AU because everything that was written got jossed with each new book, and even now there are people who choose to ignore the epilogue.

:( I'm sorry I wish I had something for you.

I'd like fics that take place in the canon universe for the most part. Some divergences from canon are fine. If the fic ignores the epilogue or a character's death, that is okay with me. I just don't want some generic highschool AU in a school with no magic or something along those lines. And if it makes it any easier, romance recs are fine. Just no student/teacher. Again, I'm sorry if I'm being too difficult.

In that case here is one where Ron is a spy and Draco has amnesia: http://archiveofourown.org/works/54799

Here is one by the same author but not in the same verse, about Ron and Draco and Blaise Zabini opening a pizza place together: http://archiveofourown.org/works/54847 (romance is subtextual only)

Here is some Dudley/Luna (warning for minor character suicide): http://dudley-redeemed.livejournal.com/39673.html

Here is one where Pansy and Ginny are teaching at Hogwarts and Pansy has to get married to get her inheritance, but she's gay, so she and Ginny fake a marriage: http://eloiselovelace.livejournal.com/9201.html

crack_broom on lj is my main source for HP fic

It's not that it's too picky, but a lot of the long plotty fics most people read are romance. I don't think the romance takes center stage in many of them, but it is an important component.

Oh, I understand. Admittedly, I read a lot of romance fics, but atm I've been craving something with worldbuilding and adventure. I'll take recs for those fics you mentioned.

Check back here tomorrow because I'm on my phone and it's difficult to gather all my links. (Also, most of these will be Snarry, post-Hogwarts.)

Alright then. Teacher/student isn't my cup of tea but I will keep an open mind and give your Snarry recs a shot. Thank you!

Well, Harry won't be a student anymore. I guess you mean you don't like age disparity?

I'm not a huge fan of power imbalances in student/teacher relationships or relationships in general. If that makes any sense. A bit hard for me to explain in more detail why I don't like them. But since Harry won't be a student anymore I won't have to worry about that too much.
