It depends for me. I don't usually get upset unless someone seems to say it about all or most of the slash ships they come across. If it's just individual ships, I don't mind, because there are a good few slash ships out there that I genuinely don't see the chemistry for either (admittedly, usually the ones where the slash is also incest, but a few others as well). It's only when people seem to be saying that NO SLASH SHIP EVER can be valid that I start side-eying and/or screaming at people.

And I have seen actually seen quite a few people getting upset over male/female friendships getting railroaded into romantic relationships before. Mostly when it's the canon doing it (*has no feelings about recent events in Person of Interest, no, not at all*) rather than the shippers, but even in fandom (Doctor Who fandom, how's it hanging these days?).

Chemistry is subjective. I'm not going to raise a fuss if people don't want to ship individual pairings because they prefer the friendship. It's only once they start trending towards only denying slash ships that we start having a problem.
