Same, OP but for a slightly diff reason. I don't get the whole shippers are "forcing romance into everything" argument for any ship, m/f, f/f, m/m.

By shipping something, you're not "forcing romance" into it. You just like their interaction/dynamic, the way their personalities go together, whatever and would like their romantic partnership. That doesn't mean you're mis-reading what's actually in canon/reality. You just like the thought of it.

(Disclaimer: of course i know there are people who do over-analyze canon and reality (tinhats, canon tinhats) but not talking about them)

I get you and I agree. There are overzealous shippers who demand for their ship to be made canon, but if you're not being obnoxious ... who cares? I have lots of ships that I don't expect and don't even want to happen in canon. It's just fun to think about.
