I wouldn't assume that yet. At this point, it's entirely reasonable to think that something just came up, and he missed/forgot about your follow-up text. If you try texting him one more time, maybe on the weekend (if he doesn't usually work weekends) and there's still no response, then maybe start thinking he's avoiding you. But avoidance hasn't been his strategy so far, right? He's probably just busy.

This. A guy I met texted me, but I was moving apartments that weekend and it sort of fell off my radar. By the time I was like "oh yeah" again, it was two weeks later and the whole thing had moved into awkward territory.

Okay... I'm gonna text him again, since he texted me initially, and wanted to catch up for coffee.

I'm not sure if I should be like "oh by the way if you don't want to meet again that's fine", or if that would be too awkward. I'll probably just ask him if he still wants to meet up, leave it at that.

UPDATE: He replied to my text, and he totally just forgot about it, but he wants to catch up tomorrow! Yay! :)
