The kind of online role-playing where you pretend to be characters from a TV show or whatever - at least, I think that's what's going on when people talk about RPing. I don't get that at all.

Also, filking. I don't think that's something people do in fandom much anymore, but it's still the one thing that makes me want to disavow fandom and pretend I don't know any of these people.

Writing and performing folk songs about fandom stuff. It's a pretty old-school fandom thing. Cons would have filk sessions where people would break out the acoustic guitars and tamborines and whatnot and sing about Star Trek or Pern or whatever.
