Not to mention the fix didn't make a lot of sense. It's possible I'm confused, but I thought the original idea was that the Time War trashed all of time and space, so the only way to keep everything from being destroyed was to make it so the combatants never existed? (Not that they stuck with that idea very long anyway.) Besides, I hardly think it would require "the most powerful weapon ever" to destroy one planet and a really big fleet.
