One time this dude stopped me in the corridor at work to compliment my shirt and then proceeded to tell me how about how him and his young platonic!! female friend stopped the Mayan Apocalypse. He was completely serious and took me to his desk to show me pictures. It wasn't so much creepy as it was unbelievably weird. People don't really approach me or talk to me first, so that added a level of weirdness just because I'm not used to people noticing me.

He was mainlining Harry Dresden? (I think I remember that happening in a Harry Dresden book, at least.)

Not the Mayan Apocalypse; Harry and co. went to Chichen Itza to stop a ritual that would end up killing Harry and I think some other people, but not an apocalypse or anything.
