Depends: do they fantasize about seeing someone so hot/beautiful that they lose control, and can't help themselves? Or do they fantasize about taking control, and hurting someone against their will?

Either way, I'd not personally be interested, (though I'd find the first version far less creepy) but if they were willing to do it respectfully/consensual with a safe word and everything, it wouldn't be an automatic deal breaker.

That "depends" is interesting. I'm inclined to agree that the first version is far less creepy. That, as a fantasy, I can actually sort of understand.

That's interesting - I'd never considered the "seeing someone attractive and losing control of themselves" kind of rape fantasy, and I think I'd actually find that creepier than the control fantasy. With the latter, I can understand the desire for control, and can see how that desire could be played out in a safe, negotiated, and consensual way. The former just feels... dangerous, to me.

The former isn't that different though. It's just a fantasy of being able to want, take, and have, all at your immediate whim without asking or waiting -- not very different from a fantasy of being in control.

And it can totally be played out safely -- I've heard of people who have negotiated a rape roleplay where the person doing the raping can "surprise" or "attack" the victim at any time during some negotiated stretch of time, whenever the whim strikes them, while the "victim" can pretend to fight but can always stop the attack with a safeword if something goes wrong.

It doesn't surprise me to hear that it can be done safely - there's a lot that can be accomplished with safewords and advance negotiation. It just struck me as kind of odd that people found it creepier to have fantasies of dominating and controlling someone than of being essentially a crazed beast.

Huh. AFAIK, crazed beast-ness is one of the biggest kinks - sexual or totally non-sexual - of humankind ;) Music, dance, drink, drugs...everything that allows people to dispense with their restraint and non-animalness is a thing that is popularly desire.
