There was this family friend of ours whom we sometimes chatted to, played with, etc. I've never particularly liked him or any member of his family, but he was a part of the friendly adult circle, and I was okay with him being there.

Half a year ago his wife went missing, and then it turned out that he quarrelled with her, strangled her, cut her into pieces, and kept her body in a basin on the balcony of the very flat they lived in with their three kids. The body remained there for ten days.

This was the moment I realized that groups of people are never to be trusted, and that the word 'friend' has no plural form. It is a sum of individuals, but never an integral group.

holy fuck.

That reminds me of the story I heard probably about six years ago about a man in Mexico who murdered his girlfriend, and then cut her up into pieces, put them in the refrigerator/freezer, and ate them - taking them out, frying them, and eating them.
