It's like... usually when someone gets hyped so much, my reaction is to at least question it a little, and draw back a little bit, and get some perspective.

But it's like with Jlaw there's this short circuit in my brain where I start to think about it and then I just skip to "She's awesome" and stop caring about perspective.

That's what I'd say; she's not QUITE on the level of Tom Hiddleston in terms of the internet fandom's adoration, but she certainly has a ton of gifs flying around.

But yeah I adore Jennifer Lawrence too <3

I could not care less about Loki and generally I prefer fanning over actresses, but I find Hiddleston 10x more charming than Jennifer Lawrence who I kind of never ever want to see on my dash again.

Well, Tom hasn't really done anything offensive or off-putting, which Jennifer has. If it weren't for her participating in the whitewashing of Katniss, and for bi-phobic/transphobic stuff she's said before, I think more people would blindly reblog her. As it is, Tom is one of those people who even hardcore anti-white guy tumblrers have trouble finding too much fault with.

Well, Hiddleston is also, like, 10 years older than her, has gone to Cambridge, and is basically a grown-ass man whom you'd expect to know better and such. Jen is practically a kid. One that will hopefully go far.

-There was no "whitewashing" of Katniss. Katniss was never not white. Racially ambiguous at best, and absolutely at least "part" white. Olive skin and dark hair does not equal POC.

-I agree JLaw has said some offensive stuff, but it's been pretty low and very obviously never intentional. I don't believe for a second she's transphobic/bi-phobic, I just think she doesn't always filter herself. and she honestly seems like a well-meaning, fun person, so... (from a bi person)
