Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes.

This is particularly true of Sherlock Holmes (not sure if that's what you were thinking of, but that background certainly fits) - the setting and the atmosphere of 1890s London is so essential to the appeal of the original stories. I love it as much as I love any of the characters, and it would be wonderful to see fic that emphasizes that more.

I hate that so much... however, basing stories on fairy tales/folklore/popular figures has been a thing for decades, so if you change anything that's too close for comfort, I think you should be okay.

Agreed, with one caveat: I don't like how you can only get notified when a story is updated if you fave it. I prefer to fave stories that are actually my favorites.

This! So much! I started watching the second movie a couple hours ago, and couldn't get past the first 15 minutes because they annoy me so much. The minions were kinda cute and funny in the first movie, but because everyone and their mother seem to ADORE them so much, they've turned something good into something annoying and overplayed.

The actor or his character in Now You See Me?

I like Ruffalo as an actor because he's got a really adorable, nerdy nice everyman thing going on and he usually picks roles that play to that. His character in 13 Going on 30, or his Bruce Banner, both kind of have it: he knows he's a dork but he's still really nice and funny and, okay, he'll kick your ass if he has to. Plus he has big puppy eyes. :3
