But the OP is talking about the general interface, comment and tagging system, not the content.

Which isn't better at all. I just looked. It is a simple Wordpress layout with no option for searching by pairing. I can't even imagine how they would make that a multi-fandom place. It wouldn't work. It has a search bar like every other site and very few browsing options. I didn't see tags listed anywhere.

Oh, found the tags. There aren't that many though. I'm assuming it just lists the top ones, but maybe that is all they need for that fandom.

I do think the site looks awesome and there are some cool things on it, but it simply isn't a realistic design for multi-fandom. It wouldn't even work for just the Harry Potter fandom alone. Unless their search function does something I'm not seeing that other search function can't WITHOUT having options to set it that way.

It is unfortunate that it's not accessible from the homepage, but if you click on one of the "top ones" tags you mention, you get to another type of page ("browsing", I guess).

Click on the long search bar next to the big green "filter" button and BAM. All the characters. Once selected, you can click each character again to filter them out (so you don't get any story with them) instead of filter them in.

Okay. I see...but that takes me back to my first point...can you imagine doing that for a fandom like Harry Potter with so many characters? And how would you make this work for more than one fandom at all? Plus, I only read a few pairings in my fandom, so not being able to search by pairing is kind of a big hit against it. It is the reason I left FF.NET.

Oh, yeah, it would be a clusterfuck unless they've got a really potent/efficient search engine to handle such ridiculously long lists of characters
