Slight tangent: worldbuilding

I'm with you, OP, somewhat...I tend to cry when I see MCU fics written like they're living in the comics, and in all my fandoms I wish people did more worldbuilding for their AU's (especially D/s and ABO AUs).

I don't care much about historical settings and such, but I can appreciate that in many works, the setting is as much a part of the story as the characters, and it's a damn shame to see them neglected so much. :( I'm looking at you, A:TLA
