Not quite following you. Are you saying that the argument is: "Europe is so progressive that even its unprivileged whites have to check their privilege." Is that it?

"Our racism is different from your racism" is not demonstrating progressiveness, it's having a nuanced discussion.

Understand that race is not an actual scientific thing, it is a construct made up by people to ease discussion. Nobody should be surprised that the model developed to discuss race relations in the US/Anglosphere can not be easily applied to the same discussion in, say, South America, Africa, Europe or Asia.

Nobody's saying that Europe is more progressive, they're saying that taking European race and ethnicity issues and trying to pound them into a American SJ-shaped hole is not a thing that goes well (in addition to making the Americans doing it look egocentric as hell).
