Actually, I think a lot of folks are miffed more about the mis-leading marketing for this film than about Olaf existing. I'm in the UK and I've only seen ONE poster about with Anna in it, nothing featuring Elsa and SEVERAL featuring just Olaf.

I've heard that Frozen is actually really good and that Olaf has a small, amusing part but damn- you'd NEVER know this from the marketing. It's just all Olaf, all the time.

I'd call that misleading marketing as well as good marketing. Marketing isn't about representing the actual product, you know--it's about drawing a crowd. I'm sure they know damn well they'd have a better chance of getting that opening night crowd with marketing about a goofy side character than focusing on the female characters the movie is actually about.

GO and see this movie. The marketing is actually doing a phenomenal job of keeping HUGE spoilers out of the trailers.

I'm hoping to, actually. I've heard a lot of good things.
