I don't know why so many people think that probmlematic issues or themes automatically = crazy SJWs. I know the word problematic is like a giant neon sign, but sometimes that's really the most apt word choice and it's just unfortunate that it's associated with such asshats. But I just have to wonder at people who think these issues are just crazypants SJWs making stuff up, or think that the only reason a person would admit to no longer finding joy in a show is because of SJWs or that admitting or acknowledging racism in media somehow means you weep uncontrollably and hate yourself because you're white. This just doesn't make sense. At all.

Yeah, trying to turn multicultural criticism of media into a yes/no question is missing the entire point.

I'm not trolling. I've been around tumblr fandoms so much that I'm honestly sick and tired of people telling me I'm a piece of shit for liking the ism-du jour of the month.
