I don't really find him ugly, just really weird looking. Which is actually a good thing for me, as I have a lot of trouble telling faces apart, so actors with unusual looks make movie/tv plots easier for me to understand and save me embarrassment.

But it is annoying when people say they are so glad someone with unusual looks can get roles/be seen as attractive! And maybe the tv/movie industry is becoming less shallow! Yeah, right - there are loads of ugly or plain actors out there, and people don't seem to care or even find them attractive. Their looks just aren't weird enough for anyone to call attention to them.
