The funniest thing to me is when people act like there's no crossover between the sites. Like there are "tumblr people" and "facebook people" instead of what I would presume to be the largest population - "people who have tumblr and facebook".

Might be a matter of attitude. I'm on Facebook, and I post here of course, but pretty much what I actually am is a regular poster on TTLG (forum I go to.)

I lost my virginity to a girl I met in a Usenet group for a show we both watched. Ah, the 90s.

Right.

I'm not a facebook anymore (and never did much with fandom there anyway), but I'm on LJ, FF.Net, AO3, and Tumblr.

And I'm not of facebook anymore, because it caused a lot of fights with my family.

I think people on Tumblr who have that attitude are mostly the fandom types. At least, that's how I am. I never use Facebook, but my profile does have people I sort of know on it.
