Miss Marple.

Poirot too, though to a lesser extent. (I adore "Murder on the Orient Express", but some of the others stories just aren't for me.)

I love how her basic modus operendi is to just let people underestimate her while she solves the mystery. Plus one of the tv shows had Jonathon from The Mummy so that was a bonus. I also like the way she describes how she came to the answer, and the way that she relates it back to village life, I just really like the idea that some things are more connected then people realize.

Came to say both of these.

+3

I watch both of them with my mom and grandma. There's something comforting about watching Miss Marple or Piorot solving a mystery.

Mmm-hmm. I heard that they're called "cozy mysteries", and I think that's just the best description of them, really.

"Cozy mysteries" is totally apt. I'll keep that saying in mind :)
