Re: really petty things that annoy you in games

I really hate it when I encounter the same voice actors over and over again in the same game. I get it, voice acting is expensive, but it gets annoying really fast. There are voice actors who are able to do several voices and you don't always automatically go "Oh, it's you again" - but even they have limits. And when it's bad voice actors, well, it's even more annoying.

I also don't like it when I can't play a game in the original language version, at least when the original language is English. I don't expect Japanese games to be Japanese, but my country's dubs are often pretty bad and I'd prefer to play the game in English if that's the original version.

Also, I hate it when a game doesn't let you invert the axes. Since you can't invert the X-axis in a lot of games, I learnt to use the non-inverted version, but I need the Y-axis to be inverted.

And a last one: Please, dear game developers, don't create games that think they're more intelligent than the person playing it. This whole "I know where you want to jump next so I'll just do it for you, whether you want me to or not" really doesn't work very well most of the time.
