I admit, most of the time I love a good romance story, but I also love a good, plotty gen fic as well.

Romance can get boring if it gets too heavy into details - and not just porn details (which really, get too invested in showing actions and you run the risk of losing the emotion), but also daily life details can end up clogging up a fic.

I think really that's my biggest thing, I don't want fics that are too clogged up with repetitive details, which can include repetitive sex. I want plot that runs smoothly, with a good rhythm and speed, and fun/interesting plot twists.
